Classes The Health and Martial Arts Center is a program of training the body and the mind. We strive to be vibrant and engaging, and truthfully, we hope often exciting and enthralling.
Training is not aimed only at people who come in excellent health. We hope to add health to anyone who enters, to take you from wherever you are to a better, stronger, safer and happier place. All classes are held on a donation basis at

Shorin Ryu
is something of a combination martial art, having elements often associated with three backgrounds: -something English speakers might call Kung Fu; -something we can call Jiu-jitsu; and an ancient Okinawa art called "Te", a boxing and wrestling system. These three systems combine a brilliant and dynamic physical and mental art that is associated with excellent physical training and self-defense. |

The program is guided by Rod Brayfindley, a fifth-degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu. Sensei Rod also holds a third-degree black belt in Okinawan Kobudo. Ken Banghart is a first degree black belt and Jen Banghart is a first degree black belt.
